When you plug the phone in is it showing up as a samsung modem in device manager. If it does that means windows sees it and has installed the drivers .
Also do you have a mem card installed in the phone ? If you do you should be able to browse the card as a removable drive in my computer . Without opening PC studio . If you can do that then windows is not at fault.

I know this is just my ignorance of how to use this phone alas I need help. I have a 1g Kingston micro sd card for my SGH-T629. I have installed the PC studio 3 software and drivers and I have the usb cable but I have no idea how to get it all to work with respect to downloading music from my PC to my Phone. The user guide says you can use a sd card but it doesn't tell you how, neither does the PC studio instructions. Could someone give me a walk-through please.

If you have the phone hooked up, can you go into My Computer and see the phone? It'll probably be listed as a "removable device" or something like that.

I found the removable disk E device in My computer, however when I clicked on it it said "Please insert a disk into drive E:" I already had the sd card in the phone so I took it out and reinserted it and got the same message.
