I live in OC. Orange County Southern California for those who are not familiar with it. I have been a loyal T-Mobile customer since 2002 and it has been absolutely great. The customer service is excellent. Even J.D. Power & Associates have ranked T-Mobile #1 in the industry more than once. Not once did I have to wait longer than 2 minutes when calling customer care. They constantly try their best to resolve any issues I may present to them. Reception is great. I have used over 5 different phones in the past 5 years. I routinely travel to the Bay Area, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, parts of Florida, and the Atlantic Coast. The only areas where signal is weak or nonexistent is in RURAL areas. If you live in the middle of nowhere, please don't blame it on T-Mobile for the lack of coverage. I've traveled with my phone to more than 12 metropolitan areas in the U.S. I even used it in Montreal, Quebec, but I would not reccomend using your phone in Canada, due to extremely high roaming charges. As a 5 year long customer with T-Mobile, I think they are great. I only sign 1 year contracts and I only use unlocked phones purchased from overseas/ebay. Its better than branded phones.

joey, is buying your phones overseas cheaper than getting the full upgrade discount when signing the new 1 year contract?

each year. i ask for a new phone from t-mobile and i sign a 1 year contract with them. after that,

i sell the phone, and use that money to get the phone i want from ebay.

carrier phones suck. they want you to pay them for ringtones, wallpaper, etc.

with an unbranded phone it is much easier to customize and modify as you wish.

well. . what can i say. .im just speaking from experience.

and being a 5 year long customer. plus my extensive travel habits.

i feel like im qualified to criticize t-mobile, as well as commend them on their efforts to provide the mobile customer a satisfactory experience in the usa. icon_biggrin.gif

ya actually they now have 5 consecutive JD Power and Associates awards for best customer service. One year they tied with another company, not sure who. But they are on their fifth award this year.
