hey I was just wondering if you guys knew of the "fine print" for cell phones. Obviously if you look at my post time you realize Im a night owl hxc, and as such I recently bought a plan for free nights and weekends, but I was wondering if you guys knew the technical defination of verizon's night because I make alot of long distance phone calls and Id rather not have to pay for them because Im calling at 12:30 instead of 11:30. Also Id like to know their definations of an "in" network, because my brother has a lan line and yet I get charged minutes for it.
Ok so lets break this down. Id like definitions for
Nights
Long Distance
and "IN" Network.
Much obliged.

Nights---9:01PM until 5:59AM M-f
Long Distance---On America's Choice II Plans, no long distance charges anywhere in the US.
IN Network---Any Verizon Wireless (read:wireless) customer nationwide does not count against your minutes.

And whatever the time reads on your phone will be the time to check before making those night calls. The phones update for the area they are in, and whatever the phone reads off the towers it's picking up is what you should read for the free minutes.

If a call is initiated before 9 pm and lasts till after 9 pm is the whole calls minutes counted or just the ones before 9 pm?

They actually split it up on the bill. You'll see it in the minutes that cross over as a partialpromoallow or something of the like. But yes, an hour long talk a quarter before 9PM starting would entail a quarter of an hour peak time only.

More simply put, they do recognize night time free minutes even if the call starts before the cross-over point.
