I'm talking from both a consumer standpoint and investment standpoint.

I work for Cingular and I get counless amounts of customers asking about the iphone, and I always tell them how I feel, I don't like it 1) It takes away sales from me till June (oh but when we get it in stock.) and 2) It seems really mediocre for me, the only real standout features are the 8gb and Wifi, Visual voicemail is nice, but is really a gimick, I don't see it taking off well. There are better phones in my opinion, for instance the 8525 aka Tytn, It's triband 3g and quadband GSM/Edge truly making it a world phone, but at the same time it still has wifi and expandable memory, with the 4 gb standard SD cards goin for 40 bucks on ebay, you've matched the iphones capacity and features with spending 120 bucks less with a contract.

just my 2 cents.

3G is kinda pointless with the growing WiFi accessibility.
(I didn't know there were triband-UTS phones! I always thought they only work in the region were the phone is sold).

I hardly use 3G since nearly everywhere where I go is WiFi.

Windows Mobile is the worst smartphone OS I used. and their phones always seem kinda cheap.

You really should watch the keynote. The iPhone has a lot stuff other phones don't have. When I read about the features I was kinda "well, ok. sounds ok". but after seeing the keynote. man, I want one!

Companies Are Starting To Lock Up WiFi Services And Making It Pay Per Use. And While You Spend Time Looking For A HotSpot I'll Be Enjoying Sprint 4G Speeds WhereEver I Go On One Of My Many Phones.

Prove it.

And I travel all over the USA every year with my job. I'm hitting more and more hotspots every year. Youhave no idea what you're talke about.

Why can't you enjoy your 4G speed without the useless posts? Take your drive-by posting somewhere else.

Right. Why Do You Have To Cry About It? Because I Voice My Opinion And I'm Not A Conformist Who Prefers Fashion Over Function? Did You Also Know Verizon Had First Bid On The IPhone And They Turned It Down Because They Knew It Was Just A Gimmick? Not To Mention A Phone Is Only As Good As The Network It's On. So Go Ahead, Flame Me. But I Have As Much Of A Right To Post As Anyone Else On This Board. And As For The WiFi Thing, When Was The Last Time You Were Able To Surf Thier WiFi Without Buying A Coffee?

You know, Iowa, if the Mods don't care about your bullshit around here, why should I? Keep posting. Keep it up, really. Your posts have gone beyond stating an opinion or offering options based on facts. You're just spouting off at this point. I'm 50 years old, I don't flame people, I just call them on their bullshit and ask for proof of their claims. You haven't pointed anyone to a single new piece of evidence to make your point and the claims you are making are based on marketing hype and rumors that keep abounding because of people like you.

As for free WiFi, I just made an observation, I don't care if the whole planet goes WPA2. I actually have money and can pay for internet access. I don't look for hand-outs.

As I said, apparently the Mods are okay with your efforts here and I certainly have no say about it, so drive on. I'm making your day, I'm done, you get the last word.

If Everybody Is So Obsessed With Proof Then Do What I Do. Research. Google And Wiki have a wealth of information. quit being so lazy and look for your self.
