hi, i just got the w880i, and one thing i really enjoy doing is taking 30 second clips of songs on my itunes and making them ringtones. i had a razor and i would just bluetooth and 30 second clip and it worked like a charm. (these mp3 clips sound WAY better than those crappy ones you pay for anyway.i can't even find the ones i want, they just have silly mainstream music) now on my w880i i just got, it won;t work! itll recongnize the item, and it looks just the same of the other pre set ringtones on the phone with the little "mp3" logo next to it. but it won't let me use it as a ringtone! why is this? does anyone have an answer or know anyway to take clips from your computer and use them as ringtones on the phone?!?! please help!

you have a folder on your memory stick and another in you phone called "ringtunes" just drag and drop, then go into your phones settings an navigate to the appropriate folder to use it as a ringtune.

I'm having the same problem. I followed the directions from this thread
http://forums.mobiledia.com/viewtopic.php?p=221507#221507 and I still can't "select" them as ringtones. If you figure it out, please let me know!

yes! i figured it out! SO SIMPLE! the file has to be less than 600kb, plain and simple. for mp3 format, that is pretty much 16 secs. exactly. which should be plenty since the tone just repeats itself. works like a charm.
