Does anyone know if cingular will be offering the K3 when it is released shortly? It says here at mobiledia that it is "international." What does that mean? I want to know if I will be able to use it with cingular service. Thanks

Thats right, the web can be setup but you'll only be using a portion of the Cingular network, take a look at their gophone map and thats about the coverage you get with only the 1900 band. better yet take a look at GSMWorld.com and see the 1900 map

This comes from the specs:
Network: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 / UMTS 2100
http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/motorola/krzr-k3.html
Does this mean it will work with cingular?

Thanks. Now I wonder how long it will take for cingular to pick it up. I don't want to get it unlocked because I want the warranty and insurance for it. This makes me think however, does cingular give warranty and insurance for these higher end phones? If not, then I guess its probably better to get it unlocked without all the brand stuff.

actually cingular does not insure the phones.its underwritten by Continental Casualty Company, and administered by Asurion Protection Services.call and ask for coverage (888) 562 - 8662
