My T-Mobile E105 allows me to select between GSM and GPRS. Will someone please, please explain the difference between the two so that we can make the right choice. Customer service wasn't able to help much. Thanks in advance.

For sms or for wap?

well, i think i am using sms more than wap - if i am correct wap is used more for web browsing, which i don't do much of. i do send/receive mms and sms msgs regularly though - right now the setting is on GSM - i was wondering if there would be some sort of performance advantage for using GPRS - cost is not a factor - thanks

Gprs is faster but sms doens't use gprs (yet?)

so you're saying that if i select the GPRS protocol i will not be able to use sms/mms?

mms uses your wap settings thats gprs. sms is gsm.
