Just go to Datebook, click on new even where it says subject just write whathever u want then set the start time and date. On reminder set it to be 5 min before or 10 min before or whatever. Be sure to select one or select custom for the alarm to be on time. If you leave the option in reminder on off it will not ring. Then after that u will be able to choose what kind of ringtone do u want to hear when it rings. This is the same feature in most nextel phones, Hope this helps

thank you so much! this is good to know, though i am a little worried that the "reminder" only rings once. i use my cell alarm as my alarm clock, and usually need it to ring for awhile (until i turn it off) because after hearing just one ring, i would fall back asleep. do you have any suggestions about making the reminder keep ringing until i stop it, so this is more like an alarm clock? thanks!

Try just opening then closing the phone - should "snooze"

i670 has been out less then one year so it is not exactly an older phone. I still use my old gsm Nokia for an alarm clock myself.
