well you know im not rocket scientist but b4 cell phones people still made a lot of money in realty, oh and by having a holier than thou attitude about people who work in customer service isn’t going to get you far or the best help, you don’t demoralize the people you are calling to help you, sometimes its not even Cingular’s problem a lot of issues are user error or defective equipment

Waaaaahhh.He started it. :
But I would like to say that I never have a Holier than thou attitude with a CSR. I have been there and I know it is a thankless job. However, Any customer service personnel should be trained to del with this unemotionally. It is part of the job. It is also human nature.

Cingular service is good in a lot of places, but where I live is very, very poor! I currently live in Chino Hills. I have had a crappy nokia phone, and just switched to slvr l7. The nokia phone has good service the motorola, not so much. Visit cingular.com and go to their reception maps. My recomdation get a Nokia Phone!

I'm thinking of switching to Cingular, b/c although Verizon has great reception in my area, the way they cripple phones, and the restrictions they put on the phones is driving me nuts. Besides, I dont know how long I'll last with the red VZW banners on EVERY PHONE.
So, what do you think of the service, support etc? Also, what phone should I get, Im looking at either the Moto RAZR V3xx, or the LG CU500, or the SYNC.
Thanks for all your help,
.VZ(hopefully Cingular in a few days) |
would just like to know how vzw "cripples" the phones. vzw has the best most innovative products and services. point blank. proven fact.
and as far as the logo on the handsets, why not show it off that you have verizon. a lot of the verizon phones are VERIZON only. that's why they are stamped with the logo.

verizon a little while back was caught crippling software (modifying the software in the phone after it was recieved from the manufacturer) in some models of phones to ensure the customer had to use some payable data services (thus boosting profits) to to some things with the phone. they were hit with a class action suit last year or the year before.

the data services are actually in the account, it's nothing that can be controlled from the handsets.
and the class action law suit had nothing to do with the phones, or the software on the phones.

bluetooth actually isn't a data service. the only thing that was required of verizon wireless was to reqork the verbage in the contract.
