I removed a bunch of default mids and mp3s in the ringtones to free up space, then noticed a large amount of empty spaces in the set ringer ID in contacts.
Shouldnt it have updated and saw the lack of available choices?
And then out of curiosity I put all the ringtones back, and i still have all the blank spaces.

Delete the two .db files in phones audio folder using a p2k program and restart the phone

Nod, I read around and came to that conclusion. Some how I now cant set my ringtone, but I can assign ringer ids to people on my contact list, so temporary workaround.
I also saw a contact I had a ringer ID set to would kick me to the main screen. Just deleted it and copied another from Sim card.

I think I got it. I was setting mp3s as ringtones from the media area.
I went into ring styles and reset all the ones pointing to blank spaces and the option is magically back
