hi
i have this crappy nokia phone and i really need a qwerty phone.so i was thinking about switching carriers (cingular) but my contract dose not end until like sept.
i heard that t-mobile is changing their texting rates from $0.10 to $0.15 which means that you would be able to cancel ur contract w/out paying the early terminission fee
so say if i upgrade my phone to the blackberry 8800 (releasing april) and get the 2year contract extension - would i be able to cancel the contract come june (when the text rate changes) w/out paying the ETF?!?
thanks for any help that you might have to offer

ya i was a bit too late in finding out the info, it seems that if you had done the switching b4 the 14th you could have pulled it off.they started to make costumers sign up with the price change starting 15th.damn i missed out on a free phone
the texting rate is not a problem for me.i want to move to cingular for the faster data connection w/ the 8525.
thanks for the help.responce btw.

actually it does not say that on the contract, bcagle3. if anything on your contract changes you have the right to cancel without ETF if it will cause detrimental damage to the customer. The policy is on t-mobile.com and in S-L. But if the customer upgrades, then they will agree to a new contract term with t-mobile which means that the first contract is void and the new prices will apply.
