A customer of mine came into my store with his pearl to get the dst patch, and a strange thing happened. He asked me to call him, and then showed me his phone as it was ringing.THE PEARL was flashing all kinds of different colors - red, green, white it was so cool.I was wondering if this is a defect or if I can make my pearl do this, because the guy didn't know how to do it.

You can't edit, not that I know of. But I figured out how to make the pearl flash when someone calls you. Press call (green button), menu, options, general options, then scroll to the bottom and there is an option: ringtone lighting. Select trackball. Now when people call you the pearl flashes different colors to the beat of your ringtone!
I love this phone! It's probably the best phone; ever.
You probably won't like it if you're a cell phone game person, as there aren't many for blackberry. Another thing that sucks is it doesn't have mobitv capability
