Ok so I was happy with my RAZR . I was shopping in the verizon store with my wife & she insisted I should get the XV6700 for the outlook, windows mobile blah blah blah.
I'm now on my 4TH 6700 & verizon keeps replacing it . Yes its for free because i took the insurance BUT Id be happier with my old phone ( which I sold on ebay ) Verizon refuses to just swap my phone for another. Personally it doesnt make sense that they would keep giving me a new "Smartphone" $$$$$ -vs- a RAZR which is pretty much basic.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can "talk" someone at Verizonwireless into swapping me to a basic phone. FYI I just joined this site because my 4TH 6700 just took a dump on me .

The odds are pretty slim for getting a different phone other than the one you signed your contract with. However, for more than three replacements, you can get a new device/different model of equal or lesser value as part of policy. You'll need to call in with your phone available (call from a separate line) and they will troubleshoot with you. If it's still having problems the techs will get on the phone and try to assist further, if still failing then they can send a different model out to you. It's a multiple replacement policy. Otherwise, it's full retail price for a phone.

What in the hell are you doing that you are breaking them? I've had my XV6700 for over a year, and it's one of the most sturdy phones I've ever had. If you're having problems with it locking up, try rebooting it about once a week.

What are you doing on your phone?
If you go through 4 replacements, you have to be doing something on it. Using 3rd party software or loading too much data on it or just running it ragged.
I mean I have had people who had 6700 for a year and havent had one replacement yet.
