I am currently using a 1 GB microSD card for my V3i. Even with 100 songs in the card, I used only about half of it. The rest was for video and images. For images, the cell phone shows that I can take 999 pictures, while video is about 60.
I have no idea what is causing my cell to say there is insufficient storage on the card, when I know there is plenty. I thought it was the cell phone's fault, so I flashed it with a monster pack. Before, I was able to store like 50 pictures in the phone, but after the flash, it shows 0 and 20 for video, which doesn't make any sense.
So, my questions are: is the reason why my cellphone throws an insufficient error message to me because the card can store more than 999 images; and why can't I store images on my cell phone anymore? It has 11370 KB free space, 328 used, 11698 KB total.
Thanks in advance

You can try formatting the card, but this error often occurs as a result of bad seem edits. I would try a different monsterpack

I've tried formatting the card several times. I also tried using a smaller card (128 MB) and it works. hmm, weird
and bad seem edits you say? heh
the original version on the cell didn't work, so I flashed it with a monsterpack. I used the following MP from motox:
Monster Pack iTunes
S/W Version: R47A_G_08.D8.85R.sbf
Flex Version: GSPSLQATE0B9
Bootloader: BOOT0A40
Language Pack: 0039
VST: 0007
Stock/Unlocked
iTunes Superfile for the iTunes supported platform only!
[14.4 MB]
[Uploaded.June.14.06]
should I try a older version?
Thanks a lot!
PS - maybe it is a bad seem edit. because I did try changing the SMS storage from SIM to phone, but it didn't work. Maybe the instructions for V3 and V3i are different. iono

For the V3i you need to use SEEM 0032_0001 offset 9A - bit 1: Messages > menu > Message Setup > Text Msg Setup > Store To: (SIM/Phone) (1 on, 0 off)
So to clarify you can store to the smaller card but not the larger one? If this is the case the problem has to be the card

mhm, that's what I did.
if the problem lies on the card, is it the capacity that's causing the problem or just this card?
Thanks

You should then have the option in the phone menu to be able to set it to phone
And for the card I'm not sure but I think I've heard of 1Gb cards been used in a V3i before, so I don't think its capacity - but maybe there was a particular version of firmware needed.
I would try the V3i forum at www.motomodders.net - they will be able to give you a definitive answer
