Hello all,
I have a somewhat unique problem (I guess, since I can't find it anywhere). I just purchased the Motorola V3m for my wife and myself (2 phones). I have installed MPT 4.x and have been successful getting my phone to connect (bluetooth) and transfer data (my contacts) from my previous V710. The strange part is I can not get my wife's V3m to connect via bluetooth. When ever I try to do it it shows that the phone has been found but I get a comm port installation failure message shortly after. My phone still connects fine, so I would guess my BT dongle and my phone are working properly. Is there something that I am missing on my wife's phone? I should be able to install both of them too, right?
Thanks,
Jason

You probably need to set up two different profiles in MPT. For instance, my girlfriend and I have 2 Razr V3xx's, so I have two profiles - GeriV3xx and (her name)V3xx. I installed each phone separately. I don't think it's seeing your wife's phone because it isn't installed. Try running the new profile set-up and see if that does it.

V3m is a CDMA model. CDMA providers are notorious for crippling phones media and bluetooth capabilities.
You will probably be better off getting a USB cable (same as PSP cable). Also refer to http://www.maxedmobiles.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=28&topic=1 15.0 and http://www.maxedmobiles.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=28&topic=1 94.msg1797#new
