ok I know that my Audiovox XV6700 has a built in GPS reciever so is there a third party software that I can use it with or some kind of reg edit or seem edit that I can use to enable the gps thanks in advance

Why do the specs. for the xv6700 indicate it has GPS function?

if ur talking about the verizon 6700, that phone doesn't have GPS unless you download a 3rd party software and subcribe to their service.

nowadays, most of the phones have build-in GPS, but that GPS is only for 911.
If you wanna use GPS in your phone, get a gps receiver and download a program e.g. tomtom
but the software + receiver is above the same price to get a Real GPS alone.
(also. a "BUT" .if you can get the software for free, that would be another story)
or switch to Sprint. most of the phones have GPS service.

bjoern is right. you need a gps reciever to use a gps service.
