hi i need help in sending a picture from computer to phone. i used infrared Samsung e715, and when i turned it on, i installed everything. and then after that im confused because the icon said 'send files to another computer'
so i tried using it, and picked a file to send but it keeps saying 'the transfer failed. An error occured while wireless was connecting to the other device. No connection could be made because the target machine avtively refused it'.
what other device?
am i doing it wrong?
please reply back

Wow that's a dino! Is the computer recognizing the phone ? Is the phone set to be recognized or in bluetooth terms visability set to on? I know it's infared but it is similar. The other device is the phone .

hi toolnut43,
Im sure the computer recognises the phone. How do you tell though?
I have 2 icons poped up when i turn the infrared on.
i hover the mouse over the icon in the corner of my screen which said 'samsung e715.', however on my desktop icon, it says 'send files to another computer. Even if i click both icons, they poped up with the same program. So am i doing wrong?
Thankyou for replying!

Yes i'm sure the computer is recognizing the phone Did you try to send anything to the phone? My guess is the program is referring to the phone as another computer so when you see that prompt try to send something and see what happens . It sounds like you have done everything right . I'm used to bluetooth which will say, "send to t629?" much easier to understand but i had a moto timeport which had infared and if i remember correctly the software referred to the phone as another computer . Send something over when you get the prompt and see what happens .
