so i have a PEBL U6  and i love my phone. it came with motorola phone tools and it used to work perfectly on my desktop, however it began to give me a message saying i was missing codecs. i cant fix it. and that is on windows xp media edition.
now i recently got a laptop and it came with vista. i went to install my moto phone tools and waited for the updates that supported vista, yet when i connect my phone via usb it wont locate it at all.the phone tools will open and i can crop the mp3, but it cant transfer cuz it cant locate the phone.
can anyone help me pleeeease.

Try first live updating MPT, secondly update the drivers (see the connecting to p2k programs guide in tutorial section)
