Can someone PLEASE help me? I have Alltel Service and Motorola RAZR-V3M Phone. I downloaded custom ringtones from "Real Tone Juke Box" and set them to certain phonebook entries. The problem is, when I am at work I set my phone to "Vibrate". If someone call from my listings that are custom ringtones, it still rings and won't vibrate. I can get it to go "Silent", but don't always like that feature. This doesn't happen with my regular custom ringtone-only the ones that are specifically assigned to a certain number. How can I fix this? It is really annoying to have to set my phone to "Silent" at work! I also have this weird icon next to the icon that tells you if you are on "loud or vibrate", etc. Looks like a smaller black bell, with two half-circles under it and a line going through the middle of it. What is this? What does it mean-can't find anything about it in my handbook or on the forum!

How did you load the ringtones to your phone?
Have you set your ringer settings to "Ringer ID's" on?
Do the downloaded ringtones work when on other settings?
The symbol your trying to ID sounds like the Vibrate icon.

I set the ringtones from the "Media Gallery - Sounds" icon and set them to "Ringtones". They will set to vibrate only if it is my "generic" ringtone for general contacts or numbers not in my contact book. When it's someone calling me from my address book that has a "specific" ringtone added to their info, it will ring on low. My ringer ID is set to on. Everything works fine except for specific contacts ringtones won't vibrate, unless they are set the the "generic" one. Does this make sense? I really don't want to set all ringtones to one sound in order to set them on vibrate.
The icon that I can't figure out looks kind of like the "blue bell" in your picture, but it's black, much smaller and at an angle, with the "rings" facing the top of the number 5 on your picture and there is a line that goes right through the middle of the "bell". This icon is on all the time. My "vibrate" icon looks like a "phone" with zig-zags around it.
What to do?

Ok the symbol you are looking at according to my manual is a "location indicator" to indicate if you can send location information or not. I have no idea how you turned it on or how you can turn it off. If the bell (for lack of a better word) is solid or filled with color then you cannot, if it is empty then you can. This information is located on page 44 of my MotoManual for my V3t. I am still trying to wrap my mind around the settings for your ringers. once I understand what your telling me I will get back on that as well.

Ok. after re reading your post I think I understand. You want your contacts that you have set with specific ringers (ringer ID) to vibe when you set your phone to vibe not use their specified ring tone. If that is correct then you need to turn the ringer ID's off for that profile (vibe) and then everyone will vibe when you get a call. IF you leave the ringer ID's on in other profiles then your ringers will continue to be as assigned. Hope that answers your question.
Happy Modding!

O.k. I think I get it now. I'll try it, I'm sure it should work. Thank you-I can't believe it was something that simple. This phone is a tad bit different than my last one, so I'm still learning all of it's "tricks". I think the "location" thing is part of my service, so that's how it most likely got on there. If I have problems with the "Vibe" thing, I'll let you know, but it makes sense to me to turn the "ringer ID's" OFF to set all tones to vibrate. Thanks again!
