My V3 randomly stopped receiving any reception. I was actually in mid conversation when it dropped my call and hasn't picked up any signal since (the date or time haven't even changed since I turned the phone off). I can get full signal from another phone in the same location while my broken phone gets no bars. It has not been water damaged (both dots are still white) and I have replaced the antenna, but nothing has worked. Any ideas?

This does happen with Razrs. I've had it happen with a V3i and 2 V3xxs. Hopfully, I won't see it again. With the V3i, I just sent it back to Moto and got it back in 2 weeks repaired. The V3xxs were replaced by Cingular (with no hassles at all, Big Russ).

See if you can find a genuine repair place, which will more than likely be an independent phone store and have them check it out for you.

Not the service provider as I can put a phone with the same sp beside it and get full signal. The phone is no longer under warranty so I can't send it back to Cingular for replacement either. I thought about maybe replacinig the tranceiver board, but I haven't had any luck finding one.

Any help that can be offered is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You could try flashing a newer monsterpack but it sounds like a hardware problem to me
