ok so just today. my boyfriend of two years calls me.gets my voice mail, hits redial.some guy answers the phone.he says i'm not there, my boyfriend hits redial again to make sure he got the number i answer.
and lets just say uh oh! and i didn't even do anything, i was cooking dinner for my mom and i and the phone was right beside me it only rang the one time that i answered.
has anyone else had something like this happen to their phone.i need proof that i am not lying!
my mom also said that today she tried to call my sister and it was a wrong number so she got mad and threw her phone in the backseat of her car.
but yea if anyone has ever had someone try to call them or tried to call some one else and had the right number yet the wrong person answered please message me back this is very important to me.
thank you,
CJ

What you should try with the phones is calling the 611 for customer care (call from a separate phone so you can troubleshoot with yours), and have them walk you through the manual programming of your phone. It's really simple, for most phones. It'll verify all the right numbers are on your phones. Then with your phones do the *228 option 2, and lastly try *720 and wait for a tone response and *920 and wait for the confirmation response as well. This will ensure your phones aren't forwarded to another person's number.

Yes I am going through that right now with TMOBILE. I have all these calls and text messages that I did not make. I don't even text message. I called the numbers on the bill and they said that the number belongs to their friend. They called the number right out. Called Tmobile and they told me that I have to pay for the calls. I asked Tmobile that maybe they gave the same number to 2 different people told me that is impossible! Something is not right and I am not going to stop until I get a answer. I am going to call the numbers back and see which younglady it belongs to and see what service they have. This is a new line that I just got A month Ago.

I wouldn't call the call center and get livid and irate. It only slows down the process, have them check to see if there's a fraud dpmt or some way they can validate your calls, and show that your individual phone (it has it's own ID for this kind of thing) is originating or receiving these erroneous calls.

just try dialing *73 (send) from your phone. then try calling it again.
sometimes when there is activity on your account call forwarding gets activated. i don't know how. it just does -- but its an easy fix.
not just some random know it all. i actually work for verion wireless.

i was on the phone with a friend this morning at 9:52 am. my phone was fine. then, around noon, my bf imed me saying that he tried to call my phone from his cell and his home phone, and some lady answered and said he had the wrong number. i tried calling him, my mom, my dad. none of the numbers worked. the machine alternated from telling me that my phone needed to be authenticated or that they couldn't complete my call. i called the verizon customer service, and they won't let me do anything either, because my phone is under my dad's name because i'm in family plan. so i have no idea what happened, or if my parents phones work, because when the operator called them, apparently they didn't answer. i don't know if they didn't answer because they don't recognize the number, or if they were busy, or if their phones are going through the same thing.
