hey, I just got the t629 and i have had the t809 but unfortunately met its end Monday R.I.P.
(Gasoline disaster at the gas station)
But i was just wondering if this phone is pretty similar to the t809?
Also, ringtones. my t809 would play the .3gp files, will this phone play .mp3s as ringtones or do they need to be .3gp as well?
Any help would be great, THANKS!

the t629 uses mp3 as ringtones, so just change the path as mp3, and it is has to be 30 secs or less
and the UI is diff, but nicer, IMO

Don't forget the bitrate has to be 192 or less. I use wavepad to cut them down and set the bitrate. then you can save them as ringtones.
