The Management here at my call center are very aware that I am very unhappy after being screwed by them.

The regional manager today issued me a gag order that I am not allowed to mention this topic. So not only do I get screwed over after moving across the country to Washington.

So now my civil rights are being violated as I have no right to freedom of speech.

The wonderful Union did nothing with this issue. Absolutely NOTHING

when you were hired by cingular you signed a nondiscloser agreement , you rights are NOT being violated ,

The Agreement pertains to company information relating to technology, devices, systems etc.

To be told that I am not allowed to discuss anything within the company is a violation of my rights.

If that is correct, then we would all be in violation of policy posting here.

Dear Mr. MantaMoron,
Quote:
The union.
Comminication Workes of America.

I was reading my union newsletter, and yes it may be propeganda, but in it, it states that some verizon call centers oppose the union and they actually fired employees for trying to bring it in.

I am pro-Union, so any place that is against it is not good in my bag.

Ummm.Sorry. From my point of view, the union has broken companies, destroyed what they are supposed to be bringing, unity. For instance, I work at a closed union shop, and got caught in a situation that there was no good way out of. What ended up happening, is that I did the safest thing I could, and ended up bending some of the rules governing what I do. The cops, wrecker, company, and myself decided that what I did was the best and safest at the time. Ended up being, the union got a hold of it, and tried creating a problem in between the company and myself that just simply wasn't there. The point that I didn't stick it to the company, and bent the rules to make sure I made it home at the end of the trip, ticked the union off.

To say that the union is a good thing is bad for America. There was a time the unions were needed, but now, seeing as the federal government has taken over most of the responsibilities that union used to do, and the fact that our local is bunch of lazy money hungry morons that got into the union position just before they got fired from various companies they represent doesn't help the union cause much. Also, the union has repeatably stopped us from making money, by limiting our success to what the laziest guy in the company does. I have two questions for you:

1.) Why should I, who works 14 hrs a day make the same as the guy who works 5-6 hrs a day, and sticks it to the company all the time?

2.) If your above statement about Verizon is true, why is it our closed-union shop (can't work there, unless you pay union dues), gets a 20% discount from Verizon, but not Cingular?

Hey, BigRuss, ermmmm. I believe in The Constitution, which over-rides ANY union crap, gives us the right to free speech. Besides that, it's also called an "un-alienable right". Use google for further reference.

Unions are a double edged sword

UA Local 38 started Konocti resort and harbor in Lake County, California, it brought hundreds of jobs to the area and increased tourism, Now not only can Clearlake and its towns claim the Bass Capitol of the West, they can claim the Most popular Small venue concert arena in America.
