Hello,

I'm new to this forum and well as all the ins and outs of cell phones.

I have few questions, and I hope I'm asking the proper section of this forum. If not, please be so kind as to direct me to the correct area.

I have a black Razr V3 issued by cingular. I was able to unlock it succesfully using "GOT Motorola" today. I needed to unlocked it so that I could use my "former AT&T" sim card in it. I was able to unlock it with no problem.

However I have a few problems about bootloaders/flexes. It my hope that one of the resident experts can offer me some advice.

First of all this is the RSD Light 3.2 readout before using GOT:

IMEI: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Technology: Quad-Band GSM
Software Version: R374_G_0E.41.C3R_B
Flex Version: GSMV3MYCIN01NA0F5 - 2.0.L.3.2.0.7.9.R.0.9.0.0.0.1.8.A.0.40.2S
Bootloader Version: N / A
DRM Version: 0001
Bound Signature: Allowed
Motorola Phone (V3)
Bootloader Screen (*.# + pwr): 08.26

After unlocking my phone:
Bootloader Screen (*.# + pwr) is blank.
(I believe the unlocking operation downgraded my bootloader to 08.23.)

Should I upgrade my V3 to back to 08.26? What is the difference between the two versions?

Also is the software/flex up to date? If not what version should I use?
Is there a MP that I should use?

Right now, I'd like to keep the cingular branding, but i would like to do some seem editing and mods in the future to improve its performance.

Thanks in advance, for the advice.

The newest flsh i know is 42.17r you have 41 so there is room for improvement.
The reason you saw a blank when in bootloader mode cause your fone is now haveing the 7.D0 boot loader. it's perfect for moding so you don't need to change

Thank you for your advice. Is there a program that will verify a bootloader's version. And what is the typical differences in bootloader version?

Thanks again,
CeeDub

There are program out there like RDS lite or PST that will verifying your boot loader, but i'm pretty syre 7.DO or 7.EO is on your fone right noe.
The differrent is more RSA protection that is why the lowest version is very easy to mods
