I have a T509 that I bought from a friend. I've been working my butt off trying to figure out how to send files back and forth, especially music files. I finally figured out the format the music needs to be in, got the right programs (I think) etc. There's just one thing:
Everyone guide I look at has something like this in it:
"browse shared folder on computer and clikc "get""
I have no idea how to do this. When I go to my devices and file transfers it just shows the help screen. I've tried lots of different ways and have yet to find one that works. The friend didn't have the manual with the phone, and I am unable to find this information anywhere online. Can anyone help me?

The folder they speak of is the "Bluetooth exchange folder" that is created automatically when you install bluetooth software usually ends up in "My Documents" . This where you put things when you want to send them to the phone . When you browse my bluetooth places on the phone this is the folder you are seeing just highlight the file you want and choose get. also as far as music i have assembled this handy guide check it out complete with links!
To make ringtones for t 509
Choose song edit down to 25 secs i use wave pad, save as MP3 open in quicktime hit file down to export i use 3GPP settings it works fine. Hit options button 3GPP next audio next AAC-LC (music) now i set the data rate at 160 it worked output 48k channels stereo encoding best frames setting not nessesary. Put in Bluetooth exchange folder your adapter software should have created one when installed, go to bluetooth on phone my devices connect find file in folder select get, then find file in filemanager/sounds set as ringtone. My wife has the same phone it works great.

No, that's the part I get. The part I don't know how to do is how to browse the folder with my phone. It doesn't give me that option anywhere that I can see.

You go to settings ,bluetooth, my devices, you should see the computer you paired your phone with then just connect and you should see the BT exchange folder on the phone. Also make sure your phones viibility is set to on . You should have no problems then .

Where should I be looking for the BT Exchange folder for? Because I'm not seeing it anywhere in settings or fun and apps/file manager.

The bluetooth exchange folder is on your computer not the phone usually ends up in My Documents . On the phone you need to go to settings. bluetooth .my devices and then you can link to the folder on your computer, If you haven't linked with the computer before you should let the phone search for new devices .
