Why aren't the facts that the Razr V3xx has a normal talk time of up to 3 hours and that the radiation level it produces is 1.21 vs .89 of the Razr V3 discussed here? Are the attributes of this phone so great that people are willing to sacrifice talk time and do a manditory charge nightly?
A Motorola tech told me the talk time being low is the fact that the other stuff it uses that the V3 doesn't (and you can't turn off as you do with Bluetooth) is what burns the battery life. So if you use a Bluetooth headset, count on less talk time. Also, not sure if .32 greater is going to have an affect on some who wears the phone most of the day on their belt.
I am still debating to replace my V3 while the price is low. Any comments?

Man, you haven't read around here too much, have you? This has been discussed ad nauseum for a few weeks now.
I have the V3xx and charging it nightly is just part of the routine. Come home, get dinner, scratch some, get a shower, plug up the phone and go to bed. What's the big deal already? Surely you can afford the electricity. I've been doing this routine for over 15 years now. And I've pretty had to do this with every phone I've ever owned, including the V3s before the V3xxs.
Replace that V3. There's plenty to like about the V3xx and battery life isn't bad enough to make a deal-breaker.

Thanks for your response. Actually, I did read through posts about the V3xx trying to get a feel for peoples thoughts. I didn't see much discussion about short talk time.it seems the "features" of the V3xx are more of the topic of discusion and not the basic functions of what a cell phone is for. I do charge my V3 everynight, but it isn't because I have to and to me that is an issue. If I am not able or forget to charge my V3xx, will it make it tomorrow whatever calls are made? My V3 would, I just wasn't sure about the V3xx.
I wanted to upgrade "I like the Razer" because I hope it would have better call quality. I recently moved and that is a big issue at my house. Cingular says they are going to be adding a tower this month. Hopefully that will solve that issue. I also liked the V3xx voice dial feature for "all" names and not just 20 "voice named" on my V3. Finally, I hoped it would have better bluetooth communication than the V3xx. I looked for topics I thought would apply, but didn't see many. The V3xx also has a higher radiation generation than the V3.another topic I didn't see discussed.
I guess folks on this forum have have many types of phones and like the V3xx for media, MP3's and web aps and like the phone too. That just wasn't my priority. Again, I do appreciated your comments.

Naturally, it depends on how much you use the phone. Most days, I can come in and if I forget to charge the V3xx, I can make it to almost noon the next day. However, there are days when I'm on the phone a good bit and I'm showing only one bar of battery at the end of the day. I had better get a charge or I won't get far at all the next day. I also use a Jawbone headset, so that has an effect on the battery. Since the mobile phone is my only phone 24/7 and I depend on it a lot, I've set myself up with chargers almost everywhere I land (home, several vehicles, office, shop, yes, I've invested a lot in chargers!). And this has always been the case, not just with the V3xx. It's just how it is, it's my lifestyle.
And certainly, there's all kinds of phones around. Good ones, too. The V3 and V3xx has hit my buttons and serves me well (that's kind of sad, ain't it. )). The software seems a good bit faster, call quality is as good if not better, the camera is actually usable, and surfing is great when I'm in a 3G area (seems like even EDGE works a little faster than the V3 as well).
Good luck,

So, based on the negatives I have mentioned, would you say that the reasons that I would upgrade for, IE better call quality (reception) than my current V3, more functionality with voice dialing (1000 names vs 20) and better (hopefully) call quality while using my Motorola 700 bluetooth HS would be worth upgrading? I know I could always try it for Cingulars 30 days and see, but there is no point in filing the paperwork if I wouldn't see improvements in these areas. Thanks again.

Maybe you'll get some other opinions, but neither battery life or the emissions are an issue for me. A slight drop and killing it would be an issue. A(nother) lousy camera would be an issue (I always said I wasn't interested in a phone camera until I got the V3xx). A too-quiet ringtone or earpiece would be an issue.
I say go for it.

honestly, all phones have low battery life, high quality screen resolutions, color, etc. not like old school where it was all green and black, you would be lucky to not have to charge every night

The V3xx in honesty has quite a few bugs in it that still haven't been resolved from the day it was released. What I've seen so far is Mobile E-mail reseting itself deleting any addresses you saved, No more file transfer via bluetooth same setup as the problem they had with Verizons V710 Model, and Mobile browser lacking the always allow option making refreshing a definite hassle especially if you use Google mobile maps.
Don't get me wrong it is a great phone; I use one myself with my laptop . The 3G speed makes surfing extremely fast

I bought one of those phones - and the external display was terrible. Everyone i saw was the same, and the M tech said he agreed with me. It just seems really dark and hardly readable. Anybody have that issue, or is it just me? Thanks
