Ok, here's the story. One day, the plastic hinge piece fell out of my RAZR. Me being the fool that I am thought, "ok, I'll just push it back in." When I did this, the flex cable was severly damaged and obviously the phone didn't work.
I bought a new flex cable and installed it, and I'm still having the same trouble. I'm 99% sure that I installed everything correctly (which is my next Idea to fix the problem, take the phone back apart and put it back toghether).
I just wanted to know if It could be anything else. You guys talk alot about software, so I was wondering if it could be related to that.

Just to clarify, the keypad lights up when I push the phone's buttons, but the screen remains black.

Thanks for the help, happy to answer any questions

I've been trying to do that today and last night. I've got the correct programs and whatnot, but what pack should I use. I tried using 07d0 and 40.79R, but both failed. 07d0: the subsidy screen was still there, and I couldn't get back into boot, and 40.79R (my current one): The phone won't turn on or go to boot. The screen occasionally goes white momentaraly.

update: Ok, RSD Lite v3.2 detects my phone

IMEI/ESN/MEID: N / A
Technology: N / A
Software Version: R374_G_0E.42.09R
Flex Version: GSMV3xxTMB01NA106
Bootloader Version: v0x0007D0
DRM Version: N / A
Phone Type: Production (048D05100611091667F000000000)

I've been reading up on issues similair to mine on the forum, but, due to the fact that RSD can detect, I don't feel quite so helpless. On that note, I'm skeptical to do anything else because of all of the cases of dead phones I've read about. If I can avoid killing my phone, that would be good.

So.
Do I need the Smart Clip?
Which Flash do I need?
Is all hope lost?

You're help is greatly appreciated. I'll keep hacking away at it, but a reply would be very much appreciated

Thanks again

boot loader 7.D0 might not show anything but as long as yoru software can detect the fone then you can flash.
Try the new 42.10r Mp

Glad you replied, sorry I took so long.
I assume that If I search this on the forums (42.10 Mp) that I'll find it, so if that's correct, don't bother replying.

However, if I am wrong about this, please tell me where to go about obtaining this pack.

Thanks again. Fingers crossed.

OK! The Flash worked and i am almost up and running!
If you would be so kind as to tell me how to get rid of this subsidy code, or give me a link to some info that is reliable, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again.
