Have to go to India for work next week. Does anyone know if i can use my Verizon Motorola Razr there? I have international service but am hearing that it may not be compatible in India. Does anyone know?

Well, it's not GSM and I dont think there are CDMA networks in India, but I am not sure. If u would have T-Mobile or Cingular, u would be able to do that.

You can only use your cell phone from the United States if you're using Cingular or T-mo. Verizon uses CDMA, whereas GSM is more of the world-wide network.
With cingular/t-mo phones, you can just switch out the chip, and t-mo has an international network. So, with t-mo, you might not have to switch the chip. My cousin could still use her phone when she went to Russia, with t-mo, of course.

Requires an ERI-capable handset. This can be found at Verizon Wireless' website. India is one of the countries a CDMA phone can work in, it just isn't the least expensive way out there. Just call the call center and they can inform you of this and activate any needed features.
