well today at school my phone fell into the trash can and my RAZR was drenched in coffee. So my phone now has major water damage. Does anybody have had the same issue.
What do i have to do to get another phone? Can I get a Phone of equal or lesser value?
Thanks

Take the battery off. If you see a small circle sticker, look at the color. If it's not white you're screwed.

if you have insurance. all you do is call and make a claim and pay the deductible

You might be able to upgrade to a different phone with a contract extension. Even if the LDI is white you will still have "water damage" once it is receied if you try to do a warranty exchange. The LDI is only used to do a quck check for LD. The phone will be taken apart once it is received to determine the damage. I would call customer care or go into your MyT-mobile account and look at upgrades. (if you don't have insurance)

A year ago i dropped my samsung d500 in a glass of coke. it switched off and i tried switching it back on but it would only come up with a blank screen and half the keypad lights not working. and then after a short while it went dead.
the best thing to do (which i later found out) was not to switch the phone back on straight away.instead pull it apart, dry it properly and wash the board with isopropyl alcohol(vcr head cleaner) and then put it back together.
since then iv dropped my k790i in the toilet, and i dried and washed it and its working fine now.
if you dont use isopropyl alcohol and just dry the water off you might get lucky and it might still work. but of what iv heard, it gets faulty and it starts messing about. so why take the risk.!

Lol I just learned this in my T-Mobile training class but ya, under the batter is a white sticker. It turns reddish when there's water damage. In which case you're not gonna get much help. You'll just get an option to upgrade your phone but it'll basically be at retail price unless you've put in 11 months out of a 1-year contract or 22 month out of a 2-year contract. You're only other bet is insurance if you got it.
And also there's a period of 14 days after you first buy your phone (30 if you live in California for whatever reason) that you can get it fixed/replaced easily (Buyer's Remorse Period).

I don't know about t-mobile, but I'd assume it's the same as with AT&T, where if you damage your phone within the buyer's remorse period, you can still cancel your service but you'll have to pay for the phone. I doubt this has any effect on the OP, but might want to look into that landau_tst. Buyer's Remorse periods are for cancelling service, it's not a "you can break your phone and not have to pay for it" period.
