Im currently with Verizon and have truthfully gotten tired of their costumer service and poor phone choices and phone plans.
I'm considering getting a blackberry because i think it will add functionality which is great for me since I'm a teacher and i have to keep appointments and use email very often.
I'm uncertain of the type of plans that might be best for this type of phone. The particular blackberry that i'm considering is the Dash. I'm mainly choosing this blackberry because it has wifi. I would like to get the data plan but I've noticed that you cant get mobile to mobile or fav5 with t-mobile. I think i would rather have the latter than the data plan, but i'm still quite uncertain.
So i was wondering which plans and carriers all the blackberry users have?
One other thing, in order to use the instant message and emailing software, is it necessary to have a data plan or can it be used with wifi?

ok just to let you know the dash is not a blackberry. but i have the dash and love it great email great clander and everything. and for your data plan it runs 29.99 a month thats with hot spots and every thing and unlimited data. you would want it if you are going to be on instant messager and using the email and all.

what do you mean you can get fav5 and mobile to mobile if you want. thats what tmobile has.

its 34.99 for 4 MB and $44.99 for unlimited data (from the website). if you buy a blackberry you **have** to have a blackberry data plan or the email in the device will not work

44.99 is only if you're running off a blackberry enterprise server. if you're on blackberry internet service i.e. running pop/imap email. the plan for unlimited data is 29.99

You said that you have it for 19.99, is that with Cingular or T-mobile?
It seems weird to get anything less than unlimited data on the cell phone. Who could actually keep track of something like that to make sure there not going to pay overage charges.
And i was just wondering, which service verizon, t-mobile or cingular offers the best data plus voice plan.

Cingular offers internet e-mail and data for 29.99 with their BIS Unlimited plan. I had the T-Mo unlimited but the coverage wasn't the greatest in my area so I wet with Cingular. Data is 29.99 whether you have voice or not. Keep in mind that this is for internet e-mail only and does not allow BES access.
