Hey,
I am getting a new phone in a couple weeks and I am trying to decide which phone to get. I like the Envy, sch-u740, and the maxx ve. I do text a lot which is why i like both the envy and sch-u740 but the maxx ve looks really cool and is smaller than my current phone, the motorola E815.
Help please!

Help please! | I just upgrade to the samsung u740 from the motorola E815. I love the phone. The keypad is small, but i wanted a compact clamshell phone so it is fine with me. I get great reception, texting is fast and covienent, it is smaller than the E815, the ringer is loud and the vibrate is better then the E815.

I have heard that other people that have the sch-u740, think that it is really delicate. My e815 is definitely not delicate and I don't want a phone that I will have to worry about breaking on me. I do appreciate the vibrate information. I hate the vibrations on the e815. I can't even feel it in my pocket. How do the pictures and video compare between these phones? The e815 can take okay pictures but I am over-all dissatisfied with the quality of them.

Go to a store and feel the phones, there is a difference. If you're a heavy texter you'll want to make sure you like the device before getting a contract with it. Consider the battery life, form factor, camera, and price. The biggest differences between the two phones.

For Motorola, the maxx ve will hopefully have a better track record for returns than the first razr. The maxx ve is a stylish phone though

I agree with the Maxx.very stylish coming from the long long long line of razrs. Fuction wise though, i do like env and its keyboard while the 740's dual hinge does seem a bit flimsy

I have the LG Env and would reccomend it to ANYONE. not just heavy texters. It does take a few days to get acclimated to have a full keyboard, instead of a numeric keypad, but once you do, its a breeze typing in anything, you'll wonder how you lived without it. The camera is excellent, the only other verizon phone that beats it out would be the Samsung SCH-a990, which is about $150 - $200 dollars more, and in my opinion, an otherwise inferior phone compared to the env.
btw, i HIGHLY reccomend people to STEER CLEAR of motorola's phones. My friend recently got a krzr and its slow as heck and always freezing so he's always having to take the battery out to restart it. I've known people with razrs that have the same problem. Once, one of my friends dropped their razr on hard wood floor from maybe 3 feet, and it ceased to ever turn on again. I'm not saying the Maxx Ve is like that, but i've seen allota motorola's stuff go bad.

i have the black u740 had the gold till i got mad one day and broke it in half. the wife was yelling at me and i had it in my hands as normal and ya, the hinge is actually made out of metal both lol. so ya they are tough as heck. ive dropped it countless times, thrown it you name it, its prolly had something happen to it. the thing still worked. it seems like a cheap flimsy phone when you get it, but man is it tough. its like that audiovox 8900 when it came out it looked cheaper than heck but i worked for cellularone now alltel and someone ran it over and left it in a puddle of mudd for 3 days and it worked.
