You can get a unlock directly from T-Mobile, You only need a IMEI and a T-Mobile phone number trust me, I've goten it done before.

I am no longer a T-Mobile customer.but I had the Samsung T629 when I was. I'm now with AT&T and unfortunately I've lost my current phone.so, I want to unlock my old Samsung T629 to use.I've called T-Mobile, they can't help me because my account has been closed for over 180 days now.so, can you please let me know if you can help?
Unlock Code: (This number might be specific to my account, but email me and we'll test it out on another phone, if it works fine then i'll post it)
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Below you will see the Instructions for unlocking your Samsung device.
NOTE: If you receive an error message while performing the instructions below, stop. Please be aware that if an excessive amount of incorrect attempts are made, the phone will be permanently locked. Verify the IMEI by pressing *#06# and submit a new request.
1. Enter #, 0, 1, 1, 1, *, [unlock code], #
2. Press the SEND key and the display should read, "Personalization Cancelled"
NOTE: "Not Yet Personalized" will be displayed if it has already been unlocked
Thank You,

When I signed up (AT&T), I was given the T629 with the word T-Mobile on it. Does that mean mine is already unlocked? Beside using another carrier SIM, are there any functions that you don't get with a "T-Mobile" one?
Thank you.
