you need to put the mp3s in the music folder on the sdcard.
i tried moving the music to the specific folder, but my phone still wont read the music. it sees that there is supposed to be music there, but it just wont play.
for instance: i loaded the disturbed cd onto my computer. i then copied the tracks and pasted them into the music folder. when i insert the card into my phone, and look in the music section, it recognizes the disturbed cd but there are no songs stored.
any advice would be great. ive been driving myself crazy! =]

I'm having a similar problem but in your case of ripping directly from the CD it may be ripping it as a wav file and not an mp3.Double check your settings.

you might have too many characters in the titles. i think you can only have 21 or less, though not sure of the exact number. try shortening the names before transferring to the micro card, and see how that works for you.

I was able to get songs on the card and then in the "My Music" folder, but how do you get the songs to show up in the ringtones section? I cant use any of the songs I loaded as ringtones. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!
the problem is its in my music folder instead of the auido folder. alot of the times if the file is larger then a certain amount it will default to you music. if smaller it'll go to the audio. i make my own ringtones for my phone and if the clip is to long or to large it wont work.

I bought a new micro SD card and tried to format it in my SCH–u740 but it says format failed.
Any idea what I do next? Anyway to get the new card to format?
