Sprint is my provider. I have a scp-200 and am probably going to get a free new scp-3100. How can I transfer my phone list? If I don't get a new phone, how can I back up the information - preferably to a computer. If I back it up now, can I use it when I do get a new phone?
Thanks - in advance - for your help.

Sprint is currently selling an add-on feature that does this very thing, so finding help in doing it without paying for the monthly subscription will get more diffucult and in the future, maybe even impossible. I'm a fan of CDMA technology, but this sure makes sim-based look more attractive.

Since posting the initial question, I learned that by taking the old phone in to a Sprint store, they will copy the contact list for free to the new phone. I kept the old phone as a back up - so if the new one got lost, they could re-transfer the data to another new phone. I gather not all Sprint stores have this capability however.

You Can Do That With A Sanyo USB Cable And Some Software Called BitPim. BitPim Is Free. You May Have To Pick Up The Sanyo Driver For Your Computer To Pick Up Your Phone. Start Googling.
