In march I went to a cingular call center and sat through the 4 hour discussion and passed the call center simulation and was given a date for an interview, went for the interview on march 21st and was called a week later and was offered a position. They did not have a date for a training class to start and was told i would be notified when they had a date. well it is May 4th and still no date and they are still hiring, does anyone know why it is taking so long for a date to be set and how can they still be hiring if they have people waiting for jobs that were already extended offers of employment?

its possible they have not found enough qualified people to fill a training class or the trainers are predisposed, you might want to contact the recruiter to inq

i was 29 on the list at the beginning and the hiring manager calls every two weeks and i am now in the top 20. she calls biweekly to keep us up to date and all she says is she is waiting on word from corporate to get a date. so i am not sure what we are really waiting on.

have you ever gone into a walmart and seen some idiot just yelling at a cashier or a csm ( red vest) yea thats about 4-6 of your standard 8 hr shift, that and occasionaly like babysitting a 5 year old who asks the dumbest questions that have either no answer or nothing to do with their service

Took me two and a half months to start my training class after I had the position. Just have to have enough people I guess.

I used to work in an adult novelty/lingerie store and when you have a grown man get in your face because you won't let him return some anal beads or an $8 porno, and you manage not to knock him out, then i don't think having someone get angry about their phone bill over the phone will be an issue.

well it has been about 6 weeks so i will just keep waiting for the call, i did get a temporary job til i do get a date. thanks for the information.
