i have the cingular smartphone 3125 made by htc innovations. i have a few songs loaded from my notebook on to the phone, but somehow cannot assign a song to one of my contacts. i would like to assign different songs for each contact. is this even possible? can someone please tell me how to do this?

just make sure your songs you put on the phone are on the phone and not in a folder or anything. just in the documents. and then go to the contact and edit it and assign a custom ring tone.

ok now i'm making progress. two questions and i will have this done.
1. how can i transfer ALL my contacts from the sim to the phone without doing it one by one?
2. how do i save the songs to the phone and not to a "folder"?

ok i have used 'itsajoey' 's reply and figured it out myself. so for anyone wondering how to do this, first connect the phone to the pc. then open your music folder on your pc and open the usb port window, should say "mobile device" in top left hand of the window. once both those windows are open on your pc and you are connected with the phone simply click and drag each song file from your pc music to your "mobile device" window but be sure not to put it in a folder in the "mobile device" window just drop it in the "mobile device" window.
once again thanks. now i just need to findo ut how to convert all my sim card contacts into my phone.

haha glad i could help with that one.umm contacts. im just acting like its my dash . its in your sim manager.start>>> accessories . then the sim manager and theres options in there to copy all numbers to phone.
