We bought our teenager a chocolate mint phone for Christmas. She is on her 3rd one. They replaced one for free and one we had to use the insurance. Each phone has done the same thing. The screen will go white and not shut off or turn on. We pd good money for this phone. Please help.

This is a known defect that occurs, you shouldn't have to pay for any further replacements if there's no physical damage to the device. Have a direct store technician verify that it's a defect, and upon your third replacement request a different or new model, and you should get it. It's something upon that many replacements VZW will honor a different model.

I just spoke with Verizon and they gave me a choice of phones to get for her. I'm very happy. The mint phone is not a good choice for an active teenager.

Good to hear you were assisted properly. Unfortunately there are many phones that aren't made durable enough for a teenager. The G zOne is a good pick, but ugly.

This is not a teenager problem.
My husband is on his thrid chocolate phone in five months.
Earpiece has major defects and display goes dead on all of them!
Our friend has one too and they compare notes evertime they turn one in and get a new one.
Verizon is good to replace them, but you do have to go through four before you can switch styles.
So much for lost business along the way!
