I am planning to buy the Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition to be used on the Cingular network.Does anybody know(from experience or actual facts) if it will work?
Thanks in advance!

It will Semi-work the phone is a triband 900/1800/1900 and Cingular uses the 850 and 1900 bands, so one band will not work with the phone, deminishing your coverage map, check GSMworld.com's maps to see if you have 1900 or 850 coverage and you can see if the phone will work for you or not.

Russ is right, 850 is very popular in large cities for its wall penetration.
