I'm confused. I'm interested in buying the RIZR from T-Mobile but I'm confused what's its talk time is like. I see some sites tell me it is around 6.5 hours while other sites (including T-Mobile) tell me it is 3 hours. Now, that is a considerable difference. I also asked the T-Mobile rep in the store and he told me around 6 hours but realistically, people have been getting arun 5.
What's the truth? What have people been experiencing on average?

I charged mine every other day and it was fine
you're looking at around 4-5 hours.

I'm curious why the Z6 and the Z8 are rated so much higher for talk time. I'd imagine they use the same battery. Is it the software? The battery?
If it is the battery, could we put a larger battery in the Z3?

Well, the Z6 is a Juix OS, the Z3 is Synergy 9.5 i believe, the Juix (a Combinaton of Java and Linux) as well as the chipsets are newer and more power efficient, the battery may be the same, but the hardware's power consumption is different.
