I need help from a cell phone expert. I have a sanyo 3100. Apparently, once the pictures are "saved to the phone" and OUT of the camera folder, they are permanently unable to be sent. I have purchased several different name brand usb cables thinking if I plugged it into the computer or photo machine, it would automatically load stored pictures like a digital camera. This is not the case. I have upgraded my phone and would love to find any way possible to transfer this picture to the computer or disk to be able to get it onto my new phone. icon_cry.gif PLEASE HELP?!?!?

Easy Fix. Get BitPim. Google It. You'll Also Need The Sanyo Driver

The Model Specific Notes of BitPim say:
Sanyo 3100
This phone only is known to work with the driver from DataPilot.

The filesystem is not available on this phone and BitPim currently does not support downloading of photos from the phone.

Does that mean I won't be able to get my pic off the phone?

possibly. Try this out

Quote:
Hi,
I purchased a Sanyo SCP-3100 from Sprint on 8/4/2006. I downloaded the lastest Bitpim version 0.9.05 with a Susteen USB cable, and Datapilot drivers. The USB cable loads itself in the modem section of Device Manager using com port 9, no conflicts. I have Xp Pro operating system. Bitpim sees the phone but cannot connect.

There should be two ports for the 3100. A modem port and a serial port. BitPim identifies your phone using the modem port, but all other communication has to be done using the serial port. We havn't figured out how to automate this, so for now, you need to manually select this port in the settings menu.

Stephen

Hi Stephen,
I tried to manually change to the serial port in BitPim setup, it did not work. Both the modem port and serial port are setup on com port 9. What I did was uninstall the Susteen modem in control panel-device manager and turned the computor off, then back on. Windows reinstalled the Susteen modem on a different com port 7 and the serial port is still on com port 9. This worked, BitPim is now transfering data to the phone.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hope that helps
