The reason I ask, is I had to go to the emergency room this morning. Without going in to too much detail, it was a scary situation. My husband called in for me and my supervisor said, ok, but a trip to the emergency room shouldn't take all day. ! All that she could think of was her bonus, didn't even ask how I was. I didn't get out of the hospital until 2pm and my shift ends at 3:15. I didn't bother going in. I'll get written up for this.

well thats a sup for you i take it you work @ cingular, because only abotu a handful of sups really could give a damn about the reps under then most of them only care about lining the pockets

Their bonuses aren't directly tied to our attendance, but their performance review IS based on our attendance, stats, and scores, which in turn, relates to their bonus.
Just like my coach will pull me off the phones for like 2 hours if I get anything above a 4.0, because she's HAPPY with me, and if I have to go home sick, she'll totally disregaurd me for the rest of the work week.

Wow but again outsourced companies don't care about the employees they are all about the client. I being a superivsor I care about my reps I do make a poin tot ask how they are. I would never work for another outsource provider as I worked for Converys they were awful to employees.

When it all comes down to its all about numbers. Thats all a call center cares about and thats all management cares about. You are a number to them, thats it.
I wish i could say they care, but really its about the bottom line and making the guy upstairs say ok, numbers are good. I dont have to scare them to take out thier bonus's today.
I work for tech support for verizon and if i have a personel problem which i told my sup about a situation. He directs me to a hotline to were people are paid to act like the care and give advice.
