Are there any phones that could be purchased from other companies that could be used with a sprint plan? I have sprint and I'm very happy with their services, but I do not like any of there phones.I'm just trying to find more options.

No. You have to use a 'Sprint' Branded phone or they will not activate it. Period. And Sprint has the best phones on the market. with the most features. They even have those crappy razr/krzr phones. o.O

Sprint, like many cell service providers, require that the manufacturers install the Sprint Vision software on the phones. So even though Verizon and Alltel use the same signal style, attempting to activate the phone would create serious issues. As for Sprint having lousy phones, they carry most of the major brands, and several good models. The only notable phones that you can't get through them would be Verizons EnV and Chocolate, or Cingular/AT&T's iPhone. The LG Fusic exceeds the LG Chocolate in nearly every way, advantage Sprint. Sprint doesn't carry anything similar to the EnV, but would you seriously want such a clunky phone . . . only if you were SERIOUS into text messaging (try the MotoQ, full smart phone, without all the price or the bulk). As for the iPhone, it keeps getting pushed back, still has a STUPIDLY high pricetag for what it is, and will not even feature high speed internet access. Not to say Apple has no place in the cell phone industry, but their second and third line better be vastly improved, they are trying to set the trend in a market they've never sold a product in, not impossible, but not likely.
As for the RAZR, nearly all (if not all) cell providers offer the RAZR, what other phone can say that. It can't be all bad if they all have it. However with so many sold, it would be impossible to not hear a bad story or two about it. I've heard a lot of bad stories about the Sanyo 8300, but that doesn't make it a bad phone.
