I wanted to get a Sidekick II, but I heard that they could not be unlocked. So I'm over here now and asking if there are any good new/old phones with a QWERTY keyboard for AT&T/Cingular. I was thinking maybe Samsung SGH-D307. Although it is old, I think it looks cool, hah. Any reviews on that? Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

D307?
ATT doesn't even have that anymore.
Some Blackberry's have qwerty, the samsung blackjack does - but anything short of a PDA/data device won't really have a full querty keyboard.
The HTC 8525 is pretty sweet though.

Might be able to pick up a Nokia 6820 cheap. Camera's not real good but it's a nice qwerty and a solid phone.

8125 for what brand?
How about the Samsung D307, I heard it has a nice screen.
I really don't need all those features. Easy texting, nice screen, that's really all I want.

8125 is made by HTC, and is sold primarily for at&t
D307 and all regualar phones do not have Qwert keyboards at all. T9 is what you're going to get.

Do NOT get the 8125. It has sooo many problems. Its a known issue with that phone that the charging port just. falls out. Also, if you let the phone run out of battery, it sometimes will not turn on again, or take a charge. And if you need a new battery, no one carries it anymore except the manufacturer. You have to buy it (if you're within the year of your warranty they will sometimes credit the cost back to you, but only if you get supervisor approval from warranty department first) You're much better off with the 8525, even though it is a little more expensive it has all the bugs fixed. Make sure to get the latest rom update on it though, it usually doesnt come with it. www.america.htc.com/support/8525/software-downloads.html SYNC FIRST! It wipes your information out. (learned through a sad experience)
Edit: Other phone with the full keypad (found at www.phonescoop.com) the Nokia 9300 or 9300i, it's a little bit of an older phone, but cheaper and is still a good phone.
