okay, i think i may have just shot myself in the foot. I've had tmobile web $5.99 for about a month and had it set up on my MDA. all worked fine. now i purchased an unlocked ATT 8525 and put in the same settings as I had on the MDA, but get no internet access. I've read a bit on this site and honestly have searched for an answer, but have had no luck. I was even desperate enough to call tmobile support and explain the situation. The rep told me that I should never have had access to tmobileweb with the MDA and that I now need to purchase the total internet plan!
Would someone please point me in the right direction here? Much appreciated!

There are not settings that can help you. You need to just buy t-mobile total internet.

Actually, I got it to work. Thanks for the replies, though.

He's probably using the proxy work around. Only works with smart phones and pdas.

Wifi enabled phones get free internet if you have access to a wifi signal. The above posts are refering to using tmobile's cellular data network, which costs money.
