HI!
Just bought this CU500v and every time I put the USB cable in and look for it under "Removable Storage" in My Computer- it's not there.
Also, I bought a lil' 1GB MicroSD SanDisk and it doesn't read on the phone.
Please help! Thanx!

Generally cell phones do not appear in the removable device part of the computer. Also make sure you installed the drivers that came with the USB cable so that your computer will recognize your phone. You will need to use special software to communicate with the phone. I checked on http://www.datapilot.com/ and it says that the CU500 is supported so I assume that it supports the CU500v as well. With this software you can send ringtones and pictures, and can get movies off of your phone, but can't transfer them from the computer to your phone. It costs about 20 bucks for the software.
As for your MicroSD card, you will need a USB adapter if you do not have a card slot in your computer, I use this adapter and it works very well:

Hope this helps,

I don't understand - my phone's manual says it can transfer video/mp3 from my computer to it thru a USB Cable?
So, it can't, at all, do that? The manual itself states that all I have to do is
~ Connect the USB Cable from my cell to computer
~ Hit "Cancel" at the Hardware Wizard thing
~ Find the USB Cable's folder under Removable Disk
~ Drag & Drop, then I'm done!
But it doesn't quite work that way. Er.
Woah, this is quite frustrating! Does anyone here have an LG CU500v? Or just any other suggestions?

WAIT! Update. Ok, I finally got the computer to recognize my cell's USB connection with a "Removable Disk (E " thing. Problem is, I uh, can't actually drop music files into it. As when I try- it pops "Please Insert Disk".
I'm THISCLOSE, right?
