TFT screen is much better due to faster refresh rates available.

Nokia only uses TFTs... the only difference is passive and active.

Are u sure? I thought Nokia used STN/CSTN with some S40 models like 3100, 6220 etc.

I always screw it up 
STN = passive LCD
TFT = active LCD
But I keep it wrong in mind with passive and active TFT...
