I have been with Sprint for over 2 years now and about 2 months ago I had a crappy phone that kept shutting down on me. So I go into the store to replace it and they tell me that I have to pay about $200 to replace it becuase my rebate was'nt good till a few more months.
So the guy gets me to switch to Sprint/Nextel phone for free. Well, i thought it sounded like a good deal. I use a Nextel phone for work and it gets good reception, becuase I work in the hills so my personal phone doe'snt work half, no, make that all the time. So anyways, he switches me to Nextel.
Now I still have a crappy phone that i've gone in and replaced a few times. And my bill this month is $280.00! It's only me on the account and I have 450 minutes, in the past I NEVER got charged extra. Now their saying I talked almost 1000 minutes ( i barely talk on the phone anyways cuase it dosent work) and I have to pay this bill!
I called customer service and talked to this lady who was VERY rude to me and said" well, ma'am, somebody else must be using your minutes" (very sarcasticly) I tried explaing that they could look at my history. I never talked this much.
HELP! I don't want Nextel/Spint anymore. Do I have to pay my $280.00 bill and my $200.00 termanation fee!

not only that they extended your contract another two years from that date when they did it. I have been with them over 4 years and I spend at least an hour or longer on the phone with them every month to get my wronged bill right. It is to the point that canceling my service early is cheaper than the hassel it is now.

If you have an ic402 you don't have a Nextel in the traditional sense, you have a form of Sprint/Nextel hybrid they call Powersource. It uses Sprint towers for the phone, and Nextel for the walkie talkie. If you can talk them into getting you a whole Nextel phone, which you can tell by the model number. A whole Nextel phone would have 'i' the the number. The 'i' stands for IDen, the signal Nextel uses. The 'ic' on you phone indicates 'i' for IDen, and 'c' for CDMA which is Sprints signal. If Sprint is a problem for you, the Powersource phone you have won't improve things for you. If it is within 30 days, you may be able to end your contract which gives you a 30 day leeway to decide. Most 'upgrade' contracts don't have specific headings stating that since you were still under contract when you signed the new one, that you would have to stay under contract with them. This may get you out of your contract, may not.
