Competition to Apple iPhone?

I am on t-mobile month-to-month and want to get a new phone. Has this company anything planned to compete with iPhone or is their nothing planned? thanks

There will be. I'm a Cingular/AT&T customer, however the Iphone is late coming out and is a 2G phone. I wouldn't upgrade to a 2G phone. T-mobile is a bit behind on the 3G network but if you can wait, then try to wait for 3G phones. Just my opinion.

HTC has a phone that has something that the touch screen the iPhone is using. Im interested to see if tmobile will pick it up. Details are at engadget mobile.

oh yeah, i forgot about the upcoming 3G network. that is good advice re: waiting.

the iphone is going to be an ATT exclusive item for 6 months.

I heard at&t had exclusive rights to the iphone for 5 years.

iPhone is a 2yr exclusive deal with at&t.
All of the press releases say so.

Then it will come out intl later this year. OH, and guess what. iPhone cannot be unlocked.

I didn't say it was true, just said I heard about a 5 year deal with at&t. So read my post again before you start to criticise icon_exclaim.gif

I wouldn't need it unlocked myself because I have at&t, but I'm not going to upgrade to a 2G phone.
