Hi guys, I'm new here. I was just wondering if you guys think it's wise for me to go with T-Mobile as my provider since I live in GA. I checked the Coverage map on their website and It seems that where I live & my surrounding counties have very little to no coverage at all. I REALLY, REALLY want the Sidekick III phone because it offers *EVERYTHING* I was looking for in a phone.
I remember someone saying that T-Mobile roams with Cingular.so I was wondering if the T-Mobile coverage map is actually showing the *Real* coverage, or is there more coverage area due to Cingular? Not sure how this works.
If I'm not able to use T-Mobile efficiently. then I'll have to settle with the Helio Ocean.
Please guys, give me some feedback. I will greatly appreciate it, honestly.

The coverage maps include roaming agreements with Cingular.

K, here's the deal. My husband is a truck driver and often runs into and through GA. We really like t-mobile HOWEVER when he's in GA his service sucks! We have nationwide of course so no roaming but 2 months in a row our bill had subscription service charges generated in GA from a provider for who knows what. Both times he was hitting towers for Suncom. T-mobile was very good to help with the problem and stop and then refund the charges. JFYI though we've had alot of problems with that service in that state. We live in Missouri though so maybe being from an outside area was the problem although it should not have been. Living in the state you may not run into all that. Also just to let you know there are many places that he cannot get service. His phone will say Cingular however it will not allow him to make calls. He carries an unlocked V3, that was Cingular in the past, as a back up phone and when using it is allowed in those same areas to make emergency calls only while on the Cingular towers. Again probably part of the roaming issue in GA. T-mobile is working on improving and it has gotten somewhat better. Still often he ends up with no signal in that state especially when not on an interstate. We've told t-mobile they need to check their service contracts with Cingular as it seems they aren't sharing as agreed in GA. Hope this helps and sorry if it doesn't. If I were you I'd go with what the coverage maps showed. We looked at that too and in most of the states T-mobiles map is pretty accurate. We've had no hidden charges from t-mobile and nothing but good customer service all the way around since Jan '07 so far.

My experiance with T-mobile has been very poor thus far. I have property in a rural area that T-mobile claime to have coverage. It just doesn't happen. When I attemp to manualy select the Cingular tower which does have coverage, I get a network not authorized reply. If your looking for coverage in afringe area I strongly advise you not to rely on the T-mobile coverage maps. They have no integrity. Good luck!
