Most phones now and days have MicroSD, SD, Mini XD, and so on. So I wonder will the iPhone also have this since 8GB is not alot for my music files, yet alone videos.

Why would you need more than 8GB?!

"Why would you need more than 8GB?!"
It's plenty for an MP3 player, but since it has video capabilities, those 1gig movies add up fast.

Considering my 20 gig iPod is full, and I have roughly 40 GB of music in my iTunes. 8GB isn't even close to being enough to replace my iPod.
And no removable memory. Maybe the 2nd gen will have it.

yea i am also concerned about this. ive been considering an ipod for a whilenow, but the lack of storage worries me. I would much rather it have the removable storage as well, along with the capacities of an iPod video ( like at least 15gb+ storage!) hopefully someday soon? also, can anyone see the iphone getting much smaller, without losing the ease of operability?
